I had to carry her.I called the store and they told me to bring it back.So after over an hour in traffic I took it back in.They looked at it and saw the problem straight away.Opened another one for me and checked it. SAME PROBLEM !Opened another, SAME PROBLEM !!Opened another, this time it had a dickie handle and a scratch as well as spaky wheels. Finally they opened another that seemed ok.Yesterday I took it shopping and AGAIN it did the same thing. So I have called them and I am taking it in for a replacement. I'm really angry that I have to travel over again to take it back.Has anyone else had this proble with the 2005 venezia? Here is a pic of my pram. Maybe this model needs to be recalled.Image hosted by Photobucket.com They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morningWe will remember them.ANZAC Day April 25th Millipede 28/11/2005, 07:11 PM Advanced MemberPosts: 9,768 Post #2 Sounds like a dud batch. Any chance in getting one of the older models that the store still stocks, in my opinion the fabrics used to be so much nicer than the current ones.HTH DH: 32ME: 27DS: April 2004DD: September 2006 AnnaBella 29/11/2005, 06:08 AM Advanced MemberPosts: 909 Post #4 I agree that sounds like bad luck. I would consider contacting the distributors about it. They are HWI Homewares 461 Plummer StreetPort Melbourne, VIC, 3207Tel: (03) 8698 2800Fax: (03) 9646 2324Annabel

The material on the new ones is so much flimsier. They would NOT take it back, I just wanted to swap it for an old model they had going for cheaper on the floor, but they wouldn't do it.So I sold it and bought a bugaboo instead The quality of Pegs in the last year or so has gone down dramatically, I was so disappointed.MelanieHolly 4 May 01Lilypie Baby PicLilypie Baby Ticker Holly 4 May 01 crikey 30/11/2005, 10:24 AM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #6 Melanie,Have a look at my photo above, the hood studs are undone !!! same problem !! how crappyDid your pram steer wonky?I have to swap it for another Peg Perego says the shop, so does anyine have the Pliko P3 ? Any good? They don't have any old models avaliable. Its ia faulty product you are entiteld to a full refund I think. I would just keep arguing your point. Its not like the store will missout. If its a manufacturer fault then the store wont be out of pocket and you shouldnt have to choose the same brand of pram. But anyways to answer your Q I have had a pliko (now called the P3) in the past and here is my reveiw of it. http://strollersandprams.com/strollers/82/reviews.html I also love the peg perego pramette- which is basically a P3 except that it has a baby face mum option (the backrest is put down flat and the hood attached to the other end of the pram). If I were having a baby in the near future that would be one of my shortlisted prams. I have lots of legs, 3 children and one very very interesting blog crikey 30/11/2005, 01:11 PM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #8 I have been told I can swap the pram for another new in box one and if it steers funny I can take it to a shop in Bontany to have the wheels aligned free of charge. Peg perego in Melbourne said this should fix the problem. They said they have not had any complaints yet about these prams.they did say they are shipped for 2 weeks from italy before they get to Aussie shores and are often traumatised.......Makes me wanna buy Aussie made ! lol They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morningWe will remember them.ANZAC Day April 25th lalala 30/11/2005, 06:36 PM life's beautifulPosts: 1,038 Post #9 By law, you have the right to insist on a full refund of the purchase price because they sold you a faulty product ("not of merchantable quality") - have a look at http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/shopping...ndsrepairs.html for further information. Hope that helps.Melissa. AnnaBella 30/11/2005, 08:09 PM Advanced MemberPosts: 909 Post #10 Hmm, an Aussie made pram -not sure if there is one!Peg Perego may well be getting some of their parts from China -Mountain Buggy is doing this more and more, and I have heard one retailer say that he has already had quality issues with the latest batches. Definately push for the refund and try to get hold of an older model. It should be a really great pram.
